Searching the Literature: The Basics

The Service Desk provides direction from knowledgeable library staff about locations of material held in campus libraries, answers to questions about our holdings, advice about where to begin your searching and how to proceed, and quick assistance with searches.

Research consultations are 30-60 minute meetings with a librarian to discuss your research.  Research consultations are reserved for those users who have a clear research question in mind and have already completed some initial searching.  If you're new to literature searching or just getting started, you can visit the Service Desk for help.
