Covidence

Covidence is a web-based software platform that streamlines the production of systematic reviews. It supports citation screening, full text review, risk of bias assessment, and more. McMaster now provides unlimited access to university affiliates.

Creating a Review using the McMaster Subscription

Sign in to Covidence (use the small blue log-in button). Then:

  • Select to 'Start a New Review' and follow the prompts.
  • Select 'Which account...", - McMaster University (This will enable you to invite multiple co-reviewers.)

Configuring Settings and Inviting Reviewers

After creating a new review, visit the Settings feature.

You can:

  • Invite others (including co-reviewers) to your review
  • Enter keywords, which will then be highlighted in your article title/abstracts
  • Determine team roles for screening
  • Establish inclusion and exclusion criteria for full text Screening
